BEWARE OF RIP-OFF SHIPPING March 23, 2010 Items bought through Amazon.com cannot be evaluated. This item cost double because of shipping, and I thought i was getting a package of five. I got one. Check out the single with a $25 shipping fee! The Russian scammer in my neighborhood sells them for $5.00 and NYC tax. Another consumer rip-off. Do not even try Worst-Buy!
Two sided mini-DVD's February 17, 2010 These DVD-RAM discs are hard to find. None of the electronics stores in this area carry them. I was very pleased to find them at Amazon.com. I thank you and my camcorder thanks you.

The first step is the video camcorder. Consider what DVD format(s) it uses. Will it play in your DVD player? Will it play in your computer? Will your editing software recognize DVD-RAM? If not, you may want to reconsider what you are buying. Many DVD players and computer players will not play all DVD formats. DVD-RAM is fine if all your equipment will play it. It is easy to use.
DVD-RW is the Better Bet April 4, 2007 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
The 60 Min. provided with this Panasonic DVD-RAM is great, but trying to find a DVD player which will play back DVD-RAM is a nusience.
I purchased this DVD-RAM in error and now I find myself having to use my DVD Camcorder to play anything back. If your looking for something 60 Min. which can be re-recorded the 60 Min. DVD-RW is the safest bet. Many DVD players will read DVD-R/RW, so you can pop the little thing right in and have it play back on your TV. No fiddling with AV cables.
I can't hate on the DVD-RAM too bad because it was my mistake, but be warned!
Better price here than elsewhere... January 14, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Bought the Hitachi DVD Camcorder--one of the first ones out, and it uses DVD-RAM for rewreitable media. Who Cares? I thought... Except when it comes to buying media, and everyone else is using DVD-RW, so my media costs 5x as much!!! Aargh! Oh well, if you have to have it, then you have to have it. And this is the one to get if you have a Mini DVD Camcorder that uses DVD-RAM. It is double sided, for a full hour of video, and seems to record well.
