Good card is slower than advertised September 3, 2010 This is a great card for the money. It costs about half what others are charging. It says it is a class 10 card, but does not go quite that fast. It is deffinatly better than a class 6 card, but is noticibly slower than the more expensive cards. I think the slightly slower speed is worth the almost half price of this card though. If you are a pro or you make you living off of high speed photography you should go ahead and get one of the the more expensive cards, but if you are just want a fast card at a good price then you should deffinatly buy this card.
Why bother? September 2, 2010 I too like many others here have just experienced some corrupted files.
I've had the card about 6 months, and lost about 15 pictures, and 3 videos.
What good is any extra speed if the data is lost?
I'm waiting for a reply from Patriot for a new one, but I don't really want one of the same as many other people have the same problem with this card.
Acceptable August 23, 2010 This SDHC card is working fine and I'm storing and retrieving files like I should. It arrived in perfect condition from the supplier and when they said it would arrive. It was the best price I found online for the same item, Which was some 30 to 40 dollars cheaper for same item, than others. So I am satisfied with the shipping and price and use of this card.
DO NOT BUY THIS CARD August 20, 2010 Very simple- DO not Buy this card
I lost close to 300 Pictures of a recent family vacation Because the card got corrupted
I too was facing problems like every 10th or 11th picture getting corrupted. IO should have learnt my lesson and bought another card, but decided to give it a chance and take it on my vacation
Lost every single picture and video was not able to recover anything This is very bad for a company like patriot which i thought was decent
DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT.....buy this card
Patriot Class 10 SDHC doesnt perform like a class 10 SDHC August 15, 2010 I compared this 8gb Patriot Class 10 SDHC to my 8gb SanDisk Ultra Class 4 SDHC on Canon Rebel XSi camera. I attempted to see how many photos my camera can take within a 15 sec time frame. My SanDisk clas 4 actually outperformed my Patriot class 10 SDHC card. SanDisk took 42 photos compared to 39 photos from the Patriot card. The Patriot card also have lags when my camera attempted to save photos onto the memory card. My other concern on this card is reliability of this card based on other users' review. I think I will use this card as a backup card only.
